June Irwin, Longtime Member of Christ Church Bronxville, Dies September 2, 2017

Oct. 4, 2017: June White Irwin, 92, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on September 2, 2017, at The Glen at Willow Valley. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Marguerite White. June was the wife of the late Robert R. Irwin.
June retired from the New York State Insurance Fund as a pension manager. June was very devoted to her Episcopalian faith. She was a longtime member of Christ Church Bronxville.
She was an avid reader and was very knowledgeable about arts and history. She enjoyed going to museums as well as traveling the world.
June is survived by her grandchildren, Kimberly (Irwin) Bienz and Richard W. Irwin, Jr.; cousin Richard Edwards, husband of Jan; nieces Heidi Felix and Staci Johnson; and nephew Scott Gallmeyer.
She is preceded in death by sons Douglas J. Irwin and Richard W. Irwin; cousin Edward S. Gallmeyer, husband of Beth; and Ruth E. Snyder, wife of Charles.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 30, at Christ Church.
