Sept. 17, 2025: Concordia Conservatory proudly announces the launch of a new three concert series, Concordia Classics at the Keyboard on Friday, October 17 at 1pm.
Hosted at the home of Zlata and Greg Gleason in Bronxville, this series highlights the Conservatory’s distinguished piano faculty with imaginative programs that illuminate the expressive power of the keyboard.
The series’ artistic director is Conservatory piano faculty member Ji Na Kim.
Concert #1: Beyond Words and Movement Friday, October 17, 1:00 pm Featuring Alex Tuchman, this concert’s program brings song and dance to life through music, revealing how melody and rhythm transcend language and motion.
Concert #2: Art of the Miniatures Friday, March 6, 1:00 pm Slavina Zhelezova performs a celebration of short-form works that capture profound artistry and expression in their most compact form.
Concert #3: America at 250 Friday, May 29, 6:00 pm Honoring America’s 250th birthday, this program performed by artistic director Ji Na Kim highlights the diverse voices that have shaped the nation’s musical landscape.
Each concert is approximately 40 minutes in length with no intermission “With Concordia Classics at the Keyboard, we aim to bring audiences closer to the artistry of the piano in an environment that fosters both intimacy and inspiration,” said Executive Director Kathleen Suss. “Each concert invites listeners to experience the power of music not just as a performance, but as a connection in the beautiful setting of the Gleason home”
