May 31, 2017:  Thomas Kevin Dillon, 46, of Eastchester died May 22, 2017.

He was born in West Islip, NY, to Thomas J. and the late Mary Kathryn "Kay" (Keilman) Dillon. He is survived by brother Bob (Linda Trotta), Kathleen Dillon (Dave Patten), and Eileen Thuman (Jim).

Kevin was a proud product of the shores of the Great South Bay. He married his beloved Eileen (White) Dillon in 2006, moving to Bronxville and ultimately settling in Eastchester.

Kevin was passionate about life in general and his family and friends in particular, a vivid example of the mantra carpe diem.

Kevin and Eileen had ten wonderful years of marriage. What they treasured most was time together--at the beach, golfing, playing competitive paddle and, most of all, sharing their extraordinary hospitality with family and friends.

The Dillons hosted many family gatherings and always had an open-door policy. Kevin loved playing host, putting out the welcome mat and embracing--literally and figuratively--all who entered his home.

Kevin was resilient in his response to life's challenges, particularly a severe accident in his teen years, showing a determination that would serve him well throughout his life.

After a career in sales, he transitioned to becoming a successful real estate entrepreneur. Kevin was a lover of the outdoors, especially the sea and, whenever he could, would make his way to the water's edge.

The water brought Kevin great joy and peace and is where he found his best self, whether with fins on his feet, a wave ski or Pro Kadima racquet in his hands, or simply relaxing in a beach chair surrounded by family and friends.

"Uncle Kevin," also known as "UncKev," was known to his 24 nieces and nephews as a man of action, immersing himself deeply in each of their lives. Whether playing beach volleyball, hosting a round of golf, diving into the surf, attending a sporting event, or showing up as a surprise for a family birthday dinner, Uncle Kevin made it clear he was devoted to each one of them.

Beyond his nieces and nephews, Kevin connected with and embraced so many of the children of his army of friends. Quite simply, Kevin loved life.

His extraordinary presence and passionate charisma will be indescribably missed by his vast network of friends and family, particularly his wife and best friend, Eileen.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, May 27, at St. Joseph's Church in Bronxville.
