Dorothy Novak, Formerly of Bronxville, Dies March 10, 2018; Calling Hours and Funeral at McGrath on March 16 and 17

Mar. 14, 2018:  Dorothy Novak, formerly of Bronxville, died on March 10, 2018. She is the beloved wife of the late Richard Novak, loving mother of Richard, Alan, Chris, Mark, and Heidi, devoted grandmother of eleven, and great-grandmother of four.

Ms. Novak was the daughter of the founders of Schnackenberg’s Luncheonette in Hoboken, NJ, which she successfully managed for her entire life.

Dorothy also dedicated years of her life to Concordia College.

She was a longtime active member of both the Village Lutheran Church of Bronxville and St. Matthew Trinity Lutheran Church, Hoboken.

Her warmth and kind spirit touched the lives of all who knew her. 

Calling Hours will be held at the Fred H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm and between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Friday, March 16. 

There will be a funeral service at the McGrath Funeral Home on Saturday, March 17, at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the American Cancer Society or your favorite medical charity.
