Mar. 4, 2020: Gramatan Village can't wait for spring to arrive! The empowered aging-in-place community has an exciting array of activities- something for everyone- beginning this March.
Please join us for our regular programming, including the monthly Men's Discussion Luncheon Group at the Tap House in Tuckahoe, Well Spouse Support Group, Mystery Club, Book Club, Daughterhood Circle, Game Day, Poetry Club, and the Techy Teens Workshop, during which time Bronxville Middle School students help our members with iPhones and iPads.
In addition to our monthly groups, highlights in March include:
Wednesday, March 4, 3:15 pm-4:15 pm, Storytelling & Snacks Club: Would you like to share a story and enjoy a snack with students from Bronxville Middle School? This intergenerational group will promote engaging conversation and intergenerational relationships. March's topic focuses on New Beginnings.
Tuesday, March 10, 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, "Living Safely at Home": Do you want to learn more about living safely at home as you grow older? Please join us for a Lunch & Learn about falls prevention, safety at home, medical emergency alert devices, and medical equipment. This fun and informative discussion will feature Liam O'Keefe of On the Mend, Catherine Lanza, LPN of Westchester Family Care, and Lisa Snow of On the Mend. Lunch will be provided.
Wednesday, March 11, 12:00 pm-1:00 pm, Wartburg presents "Making Informed Choices about your Future": Enjoy lunch and a presentation by Wartburg's VP of Residential Services Janet Palazzolo for interactive conversation and information about advanced life planning.
Tuesday, March 24, 1:00 pm-2:00 pm, High Tea: Take part in an elegant afternoon tea service at Underhills Crossing and enjoy great conversation along with tea, sandwiches, scones, and pastries.
Wednesday, March 25, 1:00 pm-2:00 pm, Mystery Club: Mystery Lovers, take notice! Join us for lunch as we discuss the classic Rebecca (novel by Daphne du Maurier or film by Alfred Hitchcock) and the mysterious disappearance of Malaysia Flight 370.
Please join us for a fun Community Leadership Luncheon on Thursday, March 26, from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm as we celebrate March being National Social Work Month and National Women's History Month. Chat with fellow members and the community leaders and local elected officials who transform our communities and have an impact upon lives. Lunch will be provided.
Gramatan Village will host a Breakfast & Browse at J.McLaughlin in Bronxville on Friday, April 4, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. The entire community is invited to partake in a light breakfast while shopping the new Spring 2020 Women's and Men's Fashion Collections. 15% of the sales will benefit Gramatan Village.
Sneak Peek: spend time chatting with the members of the Junior League of Bronxville as we embark on a decorative planting project, and take a tour of the historic Octagon House in Irvington with us this spring.

Eastchester Senior Services & Programs
Eastchester Senior Services & Programs provides a broad range of community based support services designed to enable seniors to remain in the community, living independently for as long as possible. Programs are available to residents of the Town of Eastchester(including the Villages of Bronxville and Tuckahoe) who are 60 and older, and include: transportation services, in-home assistance programs, care planning and Medicare counseling. There are three Senior Centers with a variety of activities and lunch available.
