Feb. 26, 2025" Concordia Conservatory presents its second show of the 2024-25 UNIQUE Series season, Take a Deep Breath, on Saturday, March 15 at The Reformed Church of Bronxville at 10 am (180 Pondfield Rd).
This heartwarming, interactive and sensory-friendly musical experience is designed especially for neurodiverse audiences. It blends live music, humor, and storytelling to explore the power of breath, music, and emotion while engaging with elements of music therapy and family friendly humor while making classical music accessible to the individuals, their families and caregivers, in three intimate concert settings, bringing this truly “unique” live music experience to our neurodiverse community.
Created and hosted by Rami Vamos, Take a Deep Breath features a dynamic ensemble of musicians. Conservatory faculty members Clare Hoffman, flute, Keith Kreindler, bassoon, and Max Darche, trumpet, are joined by Orchestra Lumos’ Alec Manasse, clarinet, to perform beloved pieces such as Flight of the Bumblebee, The Swan, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
Through playful dialogue and engaging activities, the show invites audiences to discover how music and deep breathing can help navigate big feelings like frustration, fear, and joy.
