Oct. 16, 2024: In January of this year Bronxville graduate ('07) Miloš Balać of Bronxville won a 2023 Primetime Emmy award for "Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program" for his work on FX/Hulu's documentary series Welcome to Wrexham.

The series follows actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as they take over Welsh soccer team Wrexham A.F.C., the third oldest soccer club in the world, and try to restore it to its former glory.

Miloš has now been recognized again!  He just won the 2024 Primetime Emmy Award for his work as Co-Executive Producer on season two of FX/Hulu's documentary series Welcome to Wrexham. He spent three years working on Welcome to Wrexham and says that being recognized by his peers is an incredible feeling.

Accompanying Miloš at the awards ceremony was his mother, Bronxville resident Mirjana Balać.

“I brought my mom as my +1 not only because she is my biggest fan but also because she is truly the best party partner. It’s thanks to her inspiration and support that I got into this line of work in the first place, so to be able to celebrate with her was super special. Plus, I knew that together we would have so much fun on the after party dance floor, win or not.”

Earlier in 2024, Miloš also won the 2024 Producers Guild of America (PGA) Award for "Outstanding Producer of Non-Fiction Television" for Welcome to Wrexham.

Miloš next project is Polo, a five-part documentary series produced in partnership with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s production company Archewell that goes inside the glamorous, high stakes world of professional polo. It will be released on Netflix this December.

Bronxville Public Library
Bronxville Public Library

The Bronxville Public Library traces its origins back to 1875, when it was a small lending library housed in a room attached to the “Bronxville Model School.” The Library was officially chartered in 1906 and moved into the Village Hall Building. The needs of the library grew with the town and, in 1942, a new standalone building was erected, which is where the Library is today. Over the years, the Library was renovated and expanded to meet the needs of the community.

The Library has wonderful resources for adults and children and offers a comfortable and relaxing environment. The Library also houses a fine art collection, consisting principally of Bronxville painters and sculptors.

The Library offers special events, art exhibitions, and programs for adults, young adults and children. All events are open to the public, unless otherwise indicated.
