Pet of the Week: Loyal Jaxx

July 24, 2025: Jaxx is a truly special girl who is ready to find a forever family to call her own.
This beautiful, sleek black pup weighs about 45 pounds and has an amazing personality. She’s just over a year old — born on January 22, 2023 — and has spent her puppy years working in training and finding a forever home.
Jaxx was found abandoned with her siblings near a pipeline in Texas, but was rescued and is now in a foster home. She has made incredible progress in her temporary home.
She’s blossoming into a loyal, gentle companion who’s just waiting for the right person or family to continue her journey with.
Jaxx is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and she gets along well with other dogs when introductions are made slowly and properly, allowing her the time she needs to warm up and adjust to her new friend.
She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but she begins to open up and show her affectionate, trusting nature and her soft, calm personality.
She would do best in a home that understands her need for a bit of patience, ideally one with older children who can respect her space and help build her confidence. She would do well with other calm dogs, but would prefer a home without the added anxiety of cats.
Jaxx is currently being fostered in Texas but is available for adoption out of state through Mutts N Such. Transport can be arranged for her forever family.
